Ken is founder and principal consultant and an experienced technology leader with over 40 years of combined experience in New Product Development, and Engineering Processes and Management. Ken is highly skilled at developing Best Practices and Strategic Direction in New Product Development, Reliability, Innovation and Collaboration specializing in subsea equipment.
Significant Positions held:
Teledyne Marine – Senior VP and Group CTO
Responsible for overseeing 300 Engineering and R&D technical staff from 23 companies supporting Teledyne Marine’s subsea equipment solutions, technology and products focused on measuring and communicating in deep sea environments. Products include current profilers, dynamic velocity logs, subsea acoustic modems, acoustic imaging sonar, subsea and surface vehicles (tethered ROVs and autonomous), seismic exploration equipment and subsea interconnection hardware. Instrumental in acquiring and managing many externally funded R&D programs resulting in significant revenue and advancing company product portfolio.
Bell Laboratories (AT&T, Lucent Technologies) – Technical Manager & Distinguished Member of Technical Staff
Responsible for development and validation of high reliability subsea sensing and communication products and systems as well as unique state-of-the-art fiber optic devices. Helped pioneer the world's first hybrid fiber optic and electrical wet mateable subsea connector.
